Nightlife in Fethiye

Culture & Dining

Fethiye's nightlife comes in three flavours. In the town centre, the lanes of the Paspatur old town – especially Hamam Sokak, known as Bar Street – fill up in the evening with cocktail bars, live music and a few dance clubs, alongside meyhanes where locals spend long evenings over rakı and meze with Turkish live music. Hisarönü, up the hill towards Ölüdeniz, is the loudest: a strip of bars and clubs with karaoke, DJs, foam parties and shows, aimed mainly at British holidaymakers. Çalış is calmer – seafront bars for a sunset drink. Ölüdeniz's promenade also has beach bars that stay open late in summer.

Frequently asked questions

No booking needed for bars; for meyhanes with live music on weekends, reserve a table. Late-night dolmuşes run between Fethiye, Hisarönü and Ölüdeniz in summer; taxis are always available.

Any local tips for Nightlife in Fethiye?

Imported spirits are expensive in Turkey – local rakı, wine and beer are better value. Watch your drink, agree taxi prices or use the meter, and remember the legal drinking age is 18. Noise rules mean many venues turn the music down after midnight outside Hisarönü.
