Family doctor

Primary care in Türkiye is provided by family doctors (aile hekimi) at Family Health Centres (Aile Sağlığı Merkezi, ASM). Residents with a foreign ID number are assigned a family doctor by address.

Step by step

  1. Make sure your address is registered (it is, if you have a residence permit with an address).
  2. Find out which family doctor you are assigned to via e-Devlet or by asking at the nearest ASM.
  3. To change doctor, use e-Devlet or ask at the ASM of the doctor you want.
  4. For appointments at state hospitals, use MHRS (phone 182, website or app).

  • Passport
