Equipment for the long-awaited Fethiye Bay clean-up has arrived
Floating equipment has appeared in Fethiye Bay ahead of the sediment clean-up planned for mid-October.
Preparations for cleaning Fethiye Bay have visibly started. According to the local outlet Beşkaza Haber Bülteni, floating equipment that will be used in the works has been brought into the bay, and more is expected to arrive gradually shortly before the clean-up begins.
The work is planned for mid-October. Its goal is to remove sediment that has built up on the seabed over the years and is harming the marine ecosystem and water quality in the bay.
